Buffalo Stuffed Jalapeños

Main Ingredient: Vegetables

Yield: 12 servings

Recipe courtesy of Wendi Wallerstein, finalist in the 2014 Salemville® “How Do You Blue” recipe contest

Ingredients

  • 12 jalapeños
  • 1/4 c. Salemville® blue cheese crumbled
  • 1/3 c. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tbsp. buffalo wing sauce
  • 2/3 c. french fried onions, crushed

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Slice each jalapeño in half and remove seeds and membrane with a spoon. Set aside.
  3. In small bowl, mix together blue cheese, cream cheese and buffallo wing sauce. Using a small spoon, fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
  4. Place crushed french fried onions into small, shallow bowl. Daub each cheese-filled jalapeño half into onions, rocking to fully coat the cheese; place on cookie sheet. When all are done, place in oven and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, until cheese is melty and warm all the way through. Serve hot.
